November 6, 2008: CASTRUM will play at the first edition of UzhGoreRot Open Air Festival on the 12th of June, 2009. It will take place at the Amphitheatre in Uzhgorod (Ukraine)! The headliner of the festival will be DEAD INFECTION (Poland) + 9 more killer bands such as DEMENTOR (Slovakia), CRANIOTOMY (Slovakia), EPICRISE (Ukraine), NEUROPATHIA (Poland), GOD DEFAMER (Slovakia), LYCANTHROPHY (Czech Republic), SUBURBAN TERRORIST (Slovakia), ATTACK OF RAGE (Slovakia) and VULVULATOR (Ukraine). December 31, 2007: Well, another hard year is over for CASTRUM. It was a bad year for the band due to the all-sided line-up problems and thus concert inactivity in general. But hopefully 2008 will solve that situation and we finally go on tour with our latest album "Phenomenonsense"! All is left for now is to wish a Happy New Year to all our friends and fans worldwide! Be strong, creative and never give up! Death Metal rules supreme!!! See you in 2008!!!!!!

December 29, 2007: "The Essence of the Past" is the title of the recently released DVD, which was compiled by Cornelius from old archive shows. The DVD contains 3 live shows from the 1996-1997 era, the 3 official video clips of that eras as well as photo gallery slideshow of archive photos from 1995-1998. The DVD comes in jewel case with color booklet and extra DVD-ROM part that features a bonus live show from 1998, demos & rehearsals of CASTRUM & CHAMOS in mp3 format as well as wallpapers for your desktop! July 25, 2007: During the recording sessions of our recently released album "Phenomenonsense" we managed to record 2 more songs for a possible 7" release. These tracks are "Hatenourisher 2006" and a cover version of Judas Priest's famous "Breaking The Law" song. Now you have the chance to download them (just click on the titles)! Enjoy!!!

May 30, 2006: Our first Ukrainian tour has been finished successfully. Thus we would like to send our deepest thanks & hello to our bus-mates MENTAL DEMISE (Old, Fester, Pinky, Bolt, Silver) and driver Sanya! May 5, 2006: 6th of May there will be a warm-up gig in Juventus (Uzhgorod, Ukraine) for CASTRUM before going out touring with MENTAL DEMISE from 18.05 to 27.05. Check out the dates here.

April 18, 2006: Hey freaks! "Death Metal Assault VI" is coming... The date of total annihilation is Friday, May 19. The gig will be held as usually in Padiun, Uzhgorod (Ukraine). Bands confirmed are MENTAL DEMISE, VIOLENT VORTEX and TERRORIUM.

March 19, 2006: Hail maniacs! "Death Metal Assault V" went great and was a big success! This way we would like to thank SMASHED FACE, DATURA and TERRORIUM for the great time, killer live performances and last but not least the fans for their dedicated support and loud applause. January 23, 2006: January 17-20 & 23 we have completed recording guitars and bass parts for our 3rd album. It has a working title "Inverted Truth Phenomenon" and will include 9 songs and an intro. Song titles are as follows: "Disorder to Keep (Part I & Part II)", "No More World", "Don't Make Me God", "Cold-Warm Dream", "Mirrored Absurdity", "Walls of Deception", "Never Ending Error" and "Mentally Cracked".

November 2005: CASTRUM played two shows with NOKTURNAL MORTUM. The first took place 4th of November in Lvov (Ukraine) at the "Extreme Metal Annihilation", while the second 5th of November in Uzhgorod (Ukraine) at the "Uzhgo-Rock Festival". Click here for details.

August 27, 2005: The drumparts for the 3rd album has been recorded during 25 & 26 of August. The album will feature 9 songs of extreme yet innovative Death Metal. Expect the unexpected! There were also two extra tracks recorded for possible 7" and/or compilation releases!

July 2005: CASTRUM has been confirmed to play at Smashed Ground Metal Fest on the 28th of August 2005. The fest is held from 27 to 28 August 2005 in Kiev (Ukraine). Click here for banner and details.

May 2005: CASTRUM is confirmed to play at Merciless East Festival 2 on the 14th of August 2005. The fest is held from 12 to 14 August 2005 in Chelm (Poland). See details here.

April 2005: The repress of CASTRUM's both albums ("Hatenourisher" and "Mysterious Yet Unwearied") are being made. So you have a chance to get them again before it's too late! For details see our Merchandise section!

March 2005: We are really sorry for not playing the show in Lvov on 23.03.2005 (Lyalyka) along with TESSARACT, AMBIVALENCE and DOGMA. 2/3 of the band was there and we were ready to play, but unfortunately our drummer wasn't able to show up there due to the exam he had the same day. We hope to correct our fault as soon as possible and wish to visit Lvov again but with a full presence!

March 2004: CASTRUM is confirmed to play at this year's "Metal Heads' Mission-V" in Evpatoriya (Crimea, Ukraine). It will be held on 07-08.08.2004. Check the details in Tour Dates section!

February 2004: You can catch CASTRUM live on the "Death Metal Assault II" 4th March 2004 in Uzhgorod (Ukraine) with PARRICIDE, MENTAL DEMISE and GLOBALISED ABSTRUSE.

August 2003: On the 12th of August CASTRUM played an excellent show before Polish Death Metal masters VADER in Lvov (Ukraine)! VADER played there on a festival specially organized for that occasion and it was the first visit of Polish band in Lvov. Other participating bands were: FLESHGORE (Kiev) and SKNIL-OFF (Lvov).

November 2002: "Mysterious Yet Unwearied" is due to out 30th of November! Be prepared for an extreme and melodic opus that will lead you beyond the gates of universal mystery! October 2002: The Bloodbucket Productions "Buckets of Blood Vol.1" compilation CD is out now featuring over an hour of extreme metal from Bloodbucket bands and independent bands from all over the world! CASTRUM has been presented with a new song (from the upcoming "Mysterious..." album) there! Order this killer comp. CD right now! January 2002: During January the band finished the recordings of their 2nd album, tentatively titled as "Mysterious Yet Unwearied". It contains 10 crushing Death Metal songs and will be released on CD by Bloodbucket Productions in Summer 2002!

December 2001: On 29th of December the band recorded all the drum parts for the 2nd album. Rest of instruments will be recorded during January 2002. Be prepared for a total annihilation!!!

May 2001: "Hatenourisher" was out on 25th of May as promised. Fans of Death Metal should go ahead and check out this hateful Death Metal release before it's too late! It contains 8 songs in circa 35 minutes.

January 2001: CASTRUM signed a one year/one album deal with Canadian label Bloodbucket Productions. The debut CD, "Hatenourisher", is due to behead the masses by 25th of May 2001!

September 1999: The band signed a deal with the Ukrainian underground label Metal Force Records. The first result of it was an MC release unleashed under the banner of "The Leading Spirit of Medieval Tortures" (MF002). It contains a collection of almost all the early materials of CASTRUM in 55 minutes.

June 1999: Further line-up change for CASTRUM, Sharapoff is no longer in the band and a new bassist has been already recruited. So the current line-up is: Doni - drums, Roman - bass and Cornelius - guitar/vocals.

August 1998: Cornelius started an extreme underground fanzine called ENCOMIUM that mainly deals with Death/Thrash Metal bands. You can visit its web version at: castrum.com.ua/encomium.
